Journey to Hampampam

Journey to Hampampam is a dance theatre performance for the whole family, based on the children's book The Land Called Hampampam (Maa nimeltä Hampampam, Tammi, 2023) by Finnish author Ville Hytönen.

The stories highlight themes of tolerance, communication, and empathy. The world of the book is filled with playful nonsense poetry and imaginative language. According to the author, many of the expressions were inspired directly by children's own words, creating a rich and surprising landscape that sparks the imagination. Through dance, theatre, and storytelling, the performers enter into dialogue with the book's whimsical tales, creating a joyful and immersive experience for audiences of all ages.
