Welcome to a unique summer evening concert at Villa Saarela!

The evening centers around the music of Astor Piazzolla, the master of Argentine tango and the composer who revolutionized the genre, bringing to it a new depth, intensity, and expressive power.

Soprano Pia Freund and bandoneon player Henrik Sandås create a captivating musical experience featuring some of Piazzolla’s most celebrated works. During the concert, Henrik Sandås will also introduce the bandoneon and share insights into Piazzolla’s life and legacy, guiding the audience into the fascinating world of tango.

Coffee, tea, homemade lemonade, pastries, and light refreshments will be available throughout the evening.

In this enchanting garden concert, mysterious butterflies flutter through the air - featuring poetry and music by Kaija Saariaho and J.S. Bach, among others.

Beneath the pear trees, we will set tables with delicious cakes and treats.
